Miller's process combines what he has  seen during numerous travels in Asia since 2005, including traditional, contemporary, and commercial patterns and imagery with the occasional reproduction of a sourced drawing or photo.

Embodied also is his fascination with the romantic view of tropical regions and their beauty, the mystical practices and energies which occur in these places, and investigations into imaginative, inner, and real spaces.

He allows for an open ended-ness in the result of his paintings.  They are made in a spontaneous manner,

worked to compositionally resolve, but also to allow for unplanned results.

They are combinations, altered appropriative collages, improvisations.

Appreciation for the unique mental spaces created by experimental composition and improvised music also informs his visual work.

He is curious and enjoy gathering and sharing what he finds interesting with others,

and prefer to see his life’s creative output as manifestations made on a path.
